As Christmas Season Approaches, Royal Mint Releases New Snowman Coin

As the festivities of the Christmas season starting, the Royal Mint has released several versions of new Snowman coin, expanding its 50p licensed coin selection for 2019. This is the second year the snowman is celebrated and featured in a UK coin.

The new coin features a snowman built by a boy who is standing happily and proudly in front of it. The reverse has color printing, adding to the charm of the original illustration.

An effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark sits on the obverse of the coin, along with the year of issue, 2019, and the monetary denomination, 50 pence.

This coin is available in several versions including proof silver and proof gold. 

This coin comes in very nice packaging, which features illustrations by Robin Shaw.
