The Australian Perth Mint has released a new 1/2 oz fine silver coin featuring Homer Simpsons in front of his workplace. The latest addition to the popular Simpsons series, this 2020-dated coin is a depiction of Homer Homer Simpson’s ‘every-man’ personality. The previous Homer Simpsons coin was quickly sold out.

This coin's reverse portrays a colored image of Homer Simpson smiling in front of his workplace, a nuclear plant, as it expels smoke in the background. The reverse design includes the Perth Mint's mintmark and Matt Groening’s signature.

Queen Elizabeth II sits on the obverse, which also includes the monetary denomination of the coin, 50 cents, the legal tender, Tuvalu, and metal weight and quality.

Coin collectors will probably like this representation of the reckless yet very likable husband and father, Homer.

This coin is crafted from half a troy of 9999 pure silver and finished at the highest international quality standards. It has a limited mintage of only 15,000 pieces.

The Simpsons is the longest-running primetime scripted cartoon series. It first aired in 1989 and became popular internationally with its series displayed in over 60 countries and translated into twenty languages.
