Details
The British Short Hair breed, whose history dates back to the 19th century in Great Britain, was bred by crossing Persian cats with domestic shorthaired cats, which were characterised by their massive build. The compact and robust beast looks stocky.
The reverse side of the coin bears two depictions of the British cat. The first one is coloured, thus making the blue coat stand out. The second, which is embossed, presents a cat sleeping contentedly. The composition is supplemented with the Czech-English inscription BRITSKÁ KRÁTKOSRSTÁ KOČKA – BRITISH SHORTHAIR CAT. On the obverse side, which is common to the whole series, you will find a silhouette of a cat and paw prints.
