The Royal Canadian Mint released a new 1 oz fine silver coin featuring a sugar maple leaf on April 1. The same release by the mint also included two gold coins, with one of them adding to its 99.999% pure gold bullion "Call of the Wild" series.

The reverse of the new silver coin depicts a sugar maple leaf. Canada is engraved above the image of the maple leaf. 9999 is placed on both sides of the maple leaf to indicate the silver purity of the coin. It further shows the Royal Canadian Mint’s unique Bullion DNA anti-counterfeit technology.

The obverse of the coin features an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II struck in a concave relief. “5 dollars” is inscribed under the image of Queen Elizabeth. The coin incorporates an array of precisely machined radial lines into their finishes.

One of the gold coins shared the same design of the silver one except for the domination, while the other featured a bull moose.
