The Mint of Poland has released an incredible 2 oz ultra-High Relief fine silver coin featuring the Middle Eastern Nizari assassins. The Nizari assassins were the first group to employ assassinations for political purposes.

The word assassin has its origin in Syria, where the Islamic Shiite sect, the Nizari Ismailis, employed a group of assassins to ensure their survival and keep their enemies at bay. The Nizari assassins carried out their killings in public to instill fear. Their operations had been very effective and they became a synonym of merciless murderers. The identity of their assassins remained anonymous.

The reverse of the coin features an image of three Nizari assassins in old Arabic attire holding golden swords and knives, with their faces veiled with traditional Arabic headbands. The Nizari castle, known as the Death castle, appears in the background of the assassins. The reverse includes the inscriptions "assassins" and “نزاريون” the Arabic word for Nizaris.

The obverse displays an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Rank Broadley. The Queen’s profile is centered and surrounded by Arabic-style architectural tracery and a couple of period swords.

This coin is crafted in .999 pure silver with an incredible antique finish. It has a limited mintage of only 999 pieces worldwide, with 500 coins already reserved for fans of the subject, history, games, and characters.

The limited mintage will make this unique coin a rare collectible coin.
