The 2018 British Trade Dollar 1 oz Copper Round pays tribute to the historic silver British Trade Dollar that was minted exclusively for use in the Far East in 1895. British Trade Dollars were originally produced for British Merchants who needed a way to trade freely in far-east Asia without having to rely on the supply of foreign silver coins.”
The reverse of this copper round features a beautiful eastern design surrounded by a Chinese scroll frame. The denomination is displayed in two languages: Chinese and Jawi Malay.
