The Royal Canadian Mint has recently released a new 1 oz silver coin featuring a distinctive incuse strike of the maple leaf, which represents the national symbol of Canada.

The reverse side of the new silver coin features a sugar maple leaf by designer Walter Otts. It shows the inscription “Canada” on top of the maple leaf, with 9999 appearing on both sides of the maple leaf to showcase its fineness. The reverse also shows the Royal Canadian Mint’s unique Bullion DNA anti-counterfeit technology. The Royal Canadian Mint’s Bullion DNA program provides the highest standard security in the market.

The obverse of the coin displays a right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, by Susanna Blunt. It shows the denomination of the coin and issue year on the bottom. It incorporates an array of precisely machined radial lines, adding to the beauty of the design.

The new coin is struck in 9999 pure silver. It has a limited mintage of only 250000 pieces.
