The prices of gold and silver rebounded on Friday a day after they experienced sharp losses. On Thursday, the silver prices hit a three-month low, while the prices of gold hit a three-week low, Kitco reported.

This comes after inflation data from the U.S. was released, prompting the two precious metals to post moderate price gains.

The price of gold recovered from $ 1,287 an ounce to $ 1,300 area, while the silver prices increased to $15.20 an ounce after it went below $15 on Thursday.

Spot gold was down 0.1 percent on Thursday at $1,288.56 an ounce. U.S. gold futures traded it at $1,287.40 an ounce. Silver was trading at $14.94 an ounce on Thursday.
