The Royal Canadian Mint released in April the newest gold coin in its 99.999% pure gold bullion "Call of the Wild" series.

The reverse of the coin portrays an imposing bull moose, with curved lines behind him symbolizing the strength of the animal's sound. “Canada” is inscribed above the image of the moose while “fine gold 99999 1 oz or pure” is written below the image. The reverse was designed by Pierre Leduc.

The obverse of the new coin features a micro-engraved security mark in the shape of a maple leaf containing the number "19" to indicate the year of issuance of the coin. It further shows the Royal Canadian Mint’s unique Bullion DNA anti-counterfeit technology.

The new coin has a denomination of $200 which indicates its highest value legal tender compared with the 1 oz gold coins in the world. The packaging of the gold coin includes a certificate of purity signed by the Royal Canadian Mint’s Chief Assayer.
