The UK-based private Pobjoy Mint has released, on behalf of the British Virgin Islands, a new coin featuring Chilean Flamingo birds. This is the third coin of a series of coins released by the mint featuring these beautiful birds.

Renowned for being flamboyant social verbs, the Chilean Flamingos usually live in large flocks in the wild.

The reverse of the coin features two adult Chilean Flamingo birds, with their chick standing between them in shallow water. The obverse of the coin displays an image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The coin is produced in Virenium metal.
