The 2500-years-old Greek Parthenon Temple has adorned 2 oz fine silver coin. This coin is the fourth release of the Imperial Art Series from the Mint of Poland.

The temple is built on the ancient Acropolis which overlooks the city of Athens. Athens is home to key ancient monuments and works of arts, most famous of which is the Parthenon.

Dedicated to the most important civilizations, the Mint of Poland's choice to cover the Greek civilization on the fourth addition of the imperial art series was more than obvious.

The three previous releases of the series covered the Mesopotamian, Egyptian, and Chinese civilizations.

The reverse of the coin features the Parthenon Temple, with an impressive blue agate filling a window.

The obverse displays an inside view of the temple. The obverse also includes an image of Socrates and a profile of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It also features a blue agate-filled window to the left of Socrates.

This coin is struck in 999 pure silver. It has a limited mintage of only 500 pieces.
