Steampunk Culture goes back to 1980. The official beginning is associated with the 1979 novel Morlock Night by K. W. Jeter. Some people say that the apperance of the Steampunck can be related to Walt Disney's 1954 film 20.000 Leagues Under The Sea. Whatever it's origins, it is evident that the apperance of the Steampunk was undoubtedly affected by science fiction such as Captain Nemo's underwater ship in Jules Verne 20.000 Leagues Under The Sea or The Time Machine by H.G. Wells.
